Question 1

How is this different from CoinGecko?

Accepted Answer

CoinGecko is a research encyclopedia. Great for fundamentals. Coinproof is a scanning board: many charts on one page, pattern filters with overlays on the chart, a shortlist, and alerts when setups reappear.

Question 2

Do I need to pay to use it?

Accepted Answer

No. Free gives you one exchange, up to 100 top-ranked coins by market-cap rank (smaller exchanges may list fewer), trend and volatility filters, and a shortlist. Pro unlocks every supported exchange, pattern filters, volume and volatility ranges, chart overlays, 10-minute refresh, and alerts.

Question 3

What exchanges are supported?

Accepted Answer

Binance, KuCoin, Bybit, Kraken, OKX, Gate.io, and Bitfinex today, with more added over time. Free picks one. Pro unlocks all supported exchanges.

Question 4

How often is the data refreshed?

Accepted Answer

Free refreshes hourly. Pro about every 10 minutes. Every board shows a clear last-updated time so you know how fresh the scan is.

Question 5

How do alerts work?

Accepted Answer

Save a rule from a scan or build one in the alert constructor. New matches show up in the in-app inbox. You can also connect Telegram or Discord in Alert delivery and turn those channels on per rule. Trial and Pro allow up to 3 alert rules. Free does not include alerts.

Question 6

Are alerts trading signals?

Accepted Answer

No. Alerts notify you when coins match rules you set (patterns, filters). They are not buy/sell recommendations or financial advice. You decide what to do with each match.

Question 7

Is this investment advice?

Accepted Answer

No. Coinproof is decision support: charts, filters, shortlists, and alerts for your own research. You own every trade decision.
